How will the NCITD Scholarship help support you in your studies/prepare for your career?

The NCITD Scholarship will provide valuable financial support, allowing me to focus more fully on my studies. Being selected by such a respected community of trade professionals has also affirmed my passion and potential as a future international trade attorney. I’m excited to connect with NCITD’s network, gain mentorship, and attend events, sharing insights into the latest developments as trade policy continues to evolve rapidly.

Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

In 5 to 10 years, I envision myself working substantively on international trade law issues, particularly those involving export controls, sanctions, and trade remedies, as a Senior Associate or Counsel at a law firm, in-house legal department, consulting firm, or government agency. No matter the setting, my goal is to help clients navigate complex trade regulations while supporting national security objectives. I also hope to mentor law students who aspire to enter this field and help guide the next generation of trade law professionals.

More About Me:

With a strong foundation in both academics and practical experience, I am excited to build a career at the intersection of international trade and national security law. In consulting and government roles, I have assisted clients in assessing compliance and supported the implementation of regulatory and enforcement measures in response to evolving trade policies. As I take the next steps in my career, I am eager to bring my energy, curiosity, and dedication to a dynamic legal team where I can continue to grow and make a meaningful impact in the field of international trade.
