How will the NCITD Scholarship help support you in your studies/prepare for your career?
The NCITD Scholarship will make my LL.M. studies at Stanford Law School more accessible by reducing the financial burden, allowing me to focus on coursework and professional development in international trade. Beyond financial support, I am grateful for the opportunity to engage with NCITD’s community of trade professionals, whose practical experience aligns closely with the career I hope to build.
Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
In 5 to 10 years, I hope to be practicing as an international trade attorney with a focus on trade remedies, market access and cross-border regulatory strategy. I am interested in roles such as international trade counsel or partner at a law firm, or a position with an international organization working on trade policy and economic governance.
More About Me:
My professional background has allowed me to work directly with companies, government authorities, and foreign counsel in cross-border matters, including U.S.-Brazil trade policy issues and trade-related investigations abroad. As I pursue my LL.M. at Stanford, I hope to build on this experience through a foreign associate opportunity in the United States after graduation to further deepening my understanding of U.S.-Brazil trade relations and cross-border regulatory practice. I am particularly interested in opportunities involving international trade disputes, export controls, sanctions, trade remedies and the interaction between trade policy and business strategy.
