IFSA - NCITD Alliance Announced
October 1, 2004

On September 7, 2004, the International Financial Services Association (IFSA) and the National Council on International Trade Development (NCITD) announced an alliance between the two organizations. The new alliance will allow the membership of both organizations to participate in the educational programs and share information that is normally accessible only to members of the respective organizations. Members of the two organizations will have access to the "members only" information contained on each organization's website as well as attend educational programs provided by either organization at reduced rates or member rates.

This alliance will allow the members of the IFSA and the NCITD to actively participate in the important work of each of the organizations where there is common interest among the membership.

In connection with this alliance NCITD wishes to extend an invitation to IFSA members to attend the next committee meeting of the NCITD which are held the second Thursday of each month at the University Club in Washington, DC. The agenda and location details can be found on the website under Meetings and Events. Members of NCITD are invited to attend the IFSA Annual Conference in Bonita Springs Florida. NCITD members may attend the IFSA Conference at the IFSA member registration fee. The IFSA conference program and registration can be found on the Annual Conference page of the IFSA website.

Dan Taylor, President and CEO of the IFSA said, "We believe that this is a first step in bringing together two groups that have common interests in international trade, compliance and trade finance for the mutual benefit of the corporations, law firms, financial institutions and suppliers to the trade industry who are members of the two organizations."

Michael Ford, Chairman of NCITD stated, "NCITD and IFSA's ability to share common interests in today's new business world will allow organizations to develop the best strategy to deal with matters in the international marketplace."
